Coming from an open wheel background, 2021 was Jackson's first season campaigning a GT car with McElrea Racing in Porsche Carrera Cup. As a kid Jackson raced Go Karts with success, then in 2018 stepped up to single seaters for the Formula 4 championship.
He competed in the F4 championship again in 2019 and started racing internationally in New Zealand’s Toyota Racing Series in 2019 and 2020, taking a win ahead of future F1 driver Yuki Tsunoda.
In 2019 he also raced in the Asian Formula 3 championship taking two podiums which was intended to be the springboard to the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2020.
Jackson took his first Carrera Cup race win in 2022, before leading the 2023 championship until the very last race of the year where a tyre blowout cost him the championship win. He is returning to MR with the sole focus of outright victory in the 2024 championship.
