GT3 Cup Challenge 'Pro Class'

Jimmy has been addicted to the rush of motorsport from the age of 7. He started his motorsport journey on two wheels, competing in Motocross up until the age of 13 before doing 12 months in a go-kart, then historic Formula Ford at just 14 years of age.

In 2015 he raced in the Australian Formula 4 Championship, showing strong pace and producing strong podium finishes leading to a start in the 2016 Bathurst 12-hour for MARC Cars.

He also has notable experience and success in production car endurance racing.

In 2017 Jimmy had an opportunity to compete in the highly competitive Australian Toyota 86 Racing Series in 2017, which he won at Bathurst with a round to spare!

This is Jimmy's first year with MR and we are looking forward to developing Jimmy into a professional driver to follow in the footsteps of Matt Campbell and Jaxon Evans to international GT racing success.

What is your Motorsport background?

2012 - Started racing Historic Formula Ford.
2014 - National Formula Ford.
2015 - Australian Formula 4.
2016 - Class I at the Bathurst 12 Hour.
2016/ 2017 - NSW Production Touring Cars Championship.
2017 - Toyota 86 Racing Series.

Any other personal interests or achievements you would like to share?

I currently hold the Historic Formula Ford lap record at Sydney Motorsport Park on the GP circuit.

What is your favourite Motorsport moment?

Winning the 2017 Toyota 86 Racing Series in race 3 at Bathurst, it was Sunday morning of the Bathurst 1000 weekend in front of a huge crowd, the emotions were unforgettable.

What is your all-time favourite race car?

1988 Reynard Formula Ford, I learnt to race in that car and I knew it like the back of my hand.

What is your favourite circuit?

That one is easy... BATHURST!
