Porsche Carrera Cup 'TAG Heuer Challenge Class'

Following a relatively late start to racing at the age of 41 Shane has quickly moved through the amateur motorsport ranks.

After taking the Australian GT Challenge title and rookie of the year award in 2010, Shane moved to the Porsche Carrera Cup where he has now completed over 100 races including a wide range of class and outright race wins.

Shane has finished in the top 3 in the Elite Championship on 2 separate occasions and after joining MR in 2015 went one better and won the 'Tag Heuer Challenge' Championship, the category for semi-professional competitors.

With his increased consistency has come great pace which has earned him the Tag Heuer award for the driver with the highest number of 'fastest race laps' for the previous two years running.

What are your favourite Motorsport moments?

Winning the 2015 championship
Crossing the line for my first outright Carrera Cup win this year
Qualifying on the second row at Bathurst in front of a Porsche Supercup Champion and several top-flight pros on a wet track.

What is your all-time favourite race car?
If I'm winning its a favourite - so for now it's the the 991 cup car.

What is your favourite race circuit?
Bathurst

Shane enters the 2016 season with the singular goal of building on last season success to defend his Championship title and Pro-Am outright win.
