Our weekend was mixed with Luffy coming out of round one 4th in the championship thanks to two fourth place finishes and eighth in race three after spectacularly flying over the famous turn one-two chicane and ripping off his front splitter.
Michael Patrizi had the misfortune of a big lose at the unforgiving turn 8 on the first lap of qualifying and spent the rest of the weekend playing catch up finishing fourth in race three.
Tony Bates was the only MR returnee for this championship and started the weekend well finishing third in Elite in race one. He was very unceremoniously punted off the track on the last lap of race two and sustained significant damage ruling car 24 out for the rest of the weekend.
Tony Walls started his championship by staying out of trouble, learning plenty and a taking seventh, seventh and eighth for the weekend in the Elite category.
Once we tore Renee away from her fans, she came away from the Adelaide track in 18th position in the championship with three solid top-20 finishes.
