We always head to Bathurst with the intention of increasing our round win tally from 6 round wins to 7, but it wasn't to be this year.
Bayley pushed his way up to 2 places at the start of race 1 but in race 2 he was unable to capitalise on another good start after being chopped on the run to turn 1. In race 3 he raced hard with two former V8 pros but unable to get by the wily campaigners.
Jackson had the fastest race lap time in race 3 by over 4 tenths to the winners best time, but the speed came a bit late in the weekend. He did however, manage to clinch the Michelin Junior drivers championship after race 1 so he is Australia's representative for 2024. Congrats JW!
Lockie's weekend was made harder than necessary, after a mistake from the MR crew lead to his car being 2.5kgs under weight which forced him to start races 1 and 2 from the rear of the grid. He made up 9 places in both races and then forced his way up to an impressive 11th in the 3rd race.
As usual, a huge thank-you goes out to all our drivers, their families and sponsors for helping make all this happen. And as always, many thanks to the hard-working (and awesome) MR crew.
